999 Days Left...
Yep. This is a one time deal, so no worries about my becoming a 'career' politician. You know, when water sits without anything new and fresh coming in, it gets stagnant. The same holds true for politics and leadership. I can only hope that maybe others will take interest and become active citizens. It starts with attending or at least following the Governing Body meetings and taking the time to read the ordinances that we vote on-sure, a lot of it is complex, but criticism and feedback is not worth much if it is not based on knowledge. Not rumor based. Not speculation. Not what your friend or neighbor told you. Heck, not even what the papers publish! Our city government is a transparent process. And that too, is something to celebrate other than the fact that I now have less than 999 days left in office!
As for my wife and I, we will celebrate each 100 day mark as the countdown continues....
