Rio Rancho's Mayor, Tom Swisstack was also there along with Councilor Scott, Councilor Wilkins and Councilor Clayton to do the honors of the ribbon cutting.

We learned some interesting facts about Del Taco at the ribbon cutting. Did you know that all their food is made FRESH there everyday? This means all the chopping, the grating and the cooking is fresh every day. Did you know that Del Taco is open 24 hours a day?

July 2013 First Friday With Mark
It was a full house on Friday, July 5th, 2013 with "First Friday's With Mark" at the Coffee Connection here in Rio Rancho. In fact, it was standing room only!
There was a total of 30 in attendance, including:
2 city councilors, 2 candidates for 2014 city council race and 1 spouse, 4 Rio Rancho Commissioners, 1 reporter from the Observer, 1 city employee, 1 city manager, 1 golf course buyer, 17 citizens.
We just thought you'd like to know some of these facts.
Were you able to do this with any of your previous city councilors?

Work Session Called for #Chamisa Hills Golf and Country Club
Wed, Jun 5, 2013
Neighbors,
As you know I have asked the Mayor of Rio Rancho to call for a special work session to address the Country Club issues. His response was that after he gets with the City Manager he would make that call.
Today I meet with the City Manager at about 11:30am and asked that he (the city manager) contact the Mayor to see if this can be put on our schedule. As you know we have to be post it 72 hrs or more, before we can have a meeting of the governing body.
I will let you know as soon as I get word on when this meeting will take place.
Thanks!
Mark Scott

The Cost of Freedom
Memorial Day was established in 1869 in remembrance of soldiers who died in the Civil War (approximately 620,000). For the past 145 years, our nation has set aside this day to pay homage to American patriots who have fallen in service to our country.
As Rio Ranchoans, we remember both past and present armed forces personnel and their families, and honor and respect the ultimate sacrifices that have been made to ensure peace, prosperity and independence.
